Job Summary: Intermediate-level engineer plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard engineering or scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria to support optimum operation and maintenance of Company assets. Typical assignments are in the areas of engineering or scientific design, problem solving, and technical support for the optimum operation and maintenance of Company assets. Independently performs assignments with instructions as to the general results expected. May provide work direction to represented employees or technical personnel. Span of control: 0; this is an individual contributor job.

Accountabilities: 1. Develop new or improved techniques and procedures. 2. Develops and/or coordinates project or field engineering assignments with complex features. 3. Provides guidance on Company codes and standards; provides technical expertise to others within and outside the Company. 4. May provide work direction or technical guidance to less senior, technical or represented staff. 5. Recommends and implements solutions to complex problems involving the engineering, design, operation, and maintenance of company assets. 6. Develop and present clear, concise presentations. 7. Plan and manage group workflow to meet budgets and schedules. Qualifications: MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, & the knowledge & capabilities typically acquired through3-plus years of job relevant experience. PREFERRED: Master’s degree in engineering or a job-relevant discipline (experiential minimum maybe adjusted for candidates with post-graduate degrees). • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer applications applicable to specific field/discipline • Ability to work with the supply chain process. • Apply and interpret industry codes and standards in related discipline. • Communicates effectively (verbally & in writing) with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the Corporation. • Flexibility & the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace new/evolving responsibilities. • Balances multiple demands from superiors, and/or subordinates & peers in a positive and even-handed fashion; displays a calm demeanor under pressure. • Initiates new ideas and approaches; challenges prevailing practices & approaches with reasonably sound alternatives. • Competent in "multi-tasking" (i.e. the ability to prioritize & manage multiple tasks, issues or projects that may include high-visibility initiatives and require innovation, teamwork & planning).
